IIRC, SN has only shown Jays home games in 4K, nothing else. This could change in the future.

IIRC, SN never had a 4K schedule like TSN (below). If you went to the SN TV schedule, found a programme, it would tell you what channels it was on and indicate if it was available in 4K. I didn't see anything on their website currently in 4K.

TSN has a 4K schedule, see link below:

I'm going from memory in all this, so I could be wrong.
SN also show Leafs and Raptors home games in 4K as well. Nothing else but home games from Toronto's teams.

These are the teams which home games are on occasions aired in 4K. Some teams get the occasions more often than others.

SN: Maple Leafs, Raptors, Blue Jays.
TSN: Maple Leafs, Senators, Jets, Raptors, Toronto FC, Argonauts, RedBlacks, Tiger-Cats, Blue Bombers.

According to the discussion in this thread about the last NHL season, the regional Winnipeg games were shown on TSN in 4K. When Winnipeg got into the playoffs, Sportsnet didn't show any of their home games in 4K. It makes me wonder if TSN has some sort of exclusivity arrangement with the Dome truck in Winnipeg.

Sportsnet showed 2 Senators games in 4K in Jan. 2019 according to this: Watch NHL & NBA games on Sportsnet 4K - Sportsnet.ca They don't do that anymore?

Since Ottawa's and Winnipeg's arenas are set up for 4K you would think it wouldn't be hard for Sportsnet to show the Senators and Jets home games they have as national games in 4K.
I do not know about the Senators games, but I can tell you that I watch all Canadiens games, and never encounter a home game in 4K, be it on TSN or SN.

From what I understand Dome Productions only has two 4K trucks with one essentially permanently parked at Scotiabank Arena and during baseball season another one parked permanently at Rogers Centre. During season overlap (end of September / October as well as April and the Spring), I'm guessing there is no 4K capabilities outside of Toronto however, this time of year there should be at least one other team with a 4K broadcast. I guess being Toronto based and a fan of all of our local teams, I'm lucky that I can watch at least half of my sports in 4K as all home games are available to me.

On another note, this season with the new graphics package, it seems it has been upgraded on SN as the score bug and other texts come in clear as in the past they could be blurry when watching in 4K so I guess this was part of the upgrade. Also, the studio show is now in 4K on SN and in the past it was not as they would switch to HD for intermission and pre/post game and go 4K for the game, now it is all 4K which is an improvement. They just need more trucks!

After writing this, I just realized that the second 4K truck is likely being used by TSN for the CFL as they broadcast at least one game and sometimes more (depending on the schedule and how they can move trucks) in 4K which is likely why at the moment only Scotiabank Arena hockey and basketball are in 4K outside of CFL broadcasts.

Negative. Since at least 2019 Jets', and starting this season Senators', home games on TSN are sometimes in 4K.

I went to the Senators game last night. I sat just 4 seats away from the camera. The camera was marked 4K. After the game I went home and checked the game that I recorded on SN1-4K. Surprise, surprise, the broadcast was indeed only in HD. I guess the infrastructure was there but Rogers did not have the production resources for 4K in Ottawa.

When was the last Senators home game shown in 4K (on TSN I assume)?

I'm new to 4K. Is there any indicator on the screen to tell me that a broadcast is actually in 4K? TSN? Sportsnet?
When you are on TSN4K or SN4K channel, just look at the screen bug. It will say TSN4K or SN4K.

I do not know. I do not follow the Senators regularly.

TSN4K channel is easier. It only broadcasts programs in 4K. If it ain't 4K, the channel will not broadcast it, and instead just go to a static screen. SN4K is a bit tricky. SN4K is a simultaneous broadcast of SNO. When it does not air a 4K program, it just carries SNO program in HD. When it airs HD program, the bug is SNO. When it does air a 4K program, the bug changes to SN4K.

Exactly the information I was looking for. Thank you hercules130!

I will say this...when watching SN4K...even when the program is not in 4K...it looks noticeably better than the regular SN channel...not sure why...perhaps they use an upconverter similar to how most 4K TV's can upconvert HD to something in between HD and 4K?
