Since it's been a year since the last post, I thought I would ask what deals people are currently getting by cancelling/renewing? I see my new rate will be $23.94 for Music & Entertainment next week if I don't do anything.
I have had the $5. plan for 3 years now. All you have to do is ask. The last time I called I did not have to speak to anyone, it was automatically offered to me.

I'm also on my 2nd year on a $5 per month plan. I've been at it since 2011. Whenever it's been time to negotiate over the years, I've been offered between $5 and $6 per month. Sometimes it's been very easy. Other times it was like pulling teeth.

I played the game for years, get the bill for $200 or $300 per year or whatever, phone and complain then get the great deal. Just got tired of playing the stupid game and have switched over to Spotify, songs are downloaded to my phone and don't lose signal when travelling through the mountains etc, don't have the hassle of moving receiver from truck to truck etc.
Much better. I'm sure Sirius/XM's subscribers are way down, I doubt they'll be around in 10 years.

I agree. The ad-free version is not much of a deal even when compared to full price. Premium music services that allow playlist downloads are a better deal than SiriusXM and always have been. I wonder why SiriusXM doesn't have a free basic service with limited channels and ads.

I've been on a promotion on the M&E plan for 2 years for $4.99 + MRF (so really $5.99) + HST = $6.78/month ending next month.

When I called today, the automated system almost immediately offered me M&E at $4.99 + HST = $5.64/month for one year without having to talk to anyone. So probably the same deal as @named above.

Maybe there would have been a better offer if I declined, but it's better than my current price (and we use it) so I took it.

Guess I had my promo end date wrong as I got the e-mail today that my $4.99/month deal + taxes and fees for a total of $6.77 would be increasing to almost $30/month. Called to cancel and robo voice offered to keep me on the same deal for another year. I have never had it handled so easily.. no 3 different live people transfers trying to cancel, just press 1. We'll see what my bill is Oct 4th.

My new car rate was expiring & offered price ridiculous as usual $27 +-
So phoned- received on line plan -some improved but still high - So on to an agent.
First offer from agent declined - "Please Cancel me" How much $'s would you pay ?
I said in the range of $80 similar to rates I had before "will check supervisor"
Came back with all inclusive for $81.04 Took it

So I got my first bill after calling to cancel and selecting Press 1 for a further discount offer to stay as a subscriber. Went from $6.77/month to $5.64/month all in. Note to cancel in 11 months already in the calendar LOL
