Nova Scotia bypass HH3000 with IPTV/VOIP

Hello from Nova Scotia! In trying to bypass the Bell Aliant HH3000 for internet, I have been reading so many treads on so many websites, but still I can't make it work. I pay for internet (500/500), IPTV and VOIP phone. The setup I am trying to make work is FTTH -> MC220L -> unmanaged switch (DLINK GO-SW-5GE) -> #1 router RT2600AC, #2 OPTCORE SFP to RJ45 (GLC-T) -> HH3000. On my router, I set it up for VLAN 35, and clone the HH3000 MAC, which works if HH3000's IP has been released. On HH3000, I lose phone, but TV works. Is there no way with Bell Aliant in Nova Scotia with the DHCP service, to use HH3000 for phone/TV and a separate router for internet? P.S. : I lost the phone before when releasing IP, or doing factory reset, and Bell Aliant was able to fix. I feel it might be the same thing here (using copper to SFP) and just haven't called them yet to fix, but the bigger issue is that I can't seem to use internet on my router without releasing the HH3000 IP? Am I missing anything? Thanks for any help!

Did you ever get this to work? I'm in a similar situation. I have a pfsense router instead of the one you have, but I'm also trying to get the HH3000 to still host IPTV and voice, but no luck getting it to work. I tagged the vlans (34,35,36) and bridged them to the RJ45 -> SFP device, but no luck.

I only have internet working right now.

Just wanted to post a quick update to say that I'm now synced at 2.5G with Bell Aliant, which has now allowed me to ditch the HH3000 and still achieve the full gigabit speeds (940/940). Picked up an HP T730 thin client on eBay and threw in a Broadcom 10G Fiber card (the one mentioned in the DSLReports Bell Thread) - using a modified driver an PFSense I was able to achieve a 2.5G sync with the SFP ONT!

It cost a couple hundred bucks, but knowing that I have total control over my network feels very good

Thinking about upgrading to 1.5G Fibe, since my desktop PC has a 2.5G copper ethernet NIC, I should be able to get the full 1.5G on a single device, providing I also get a 2.5G capable switch!

Good work. I think Bell's intent with a 1.5G connection was to obtain full simultaneous throughput for 1G ethernet plus wifi plus TV, kind of like those 11G wifi routers that will never achieve that to one device. Still, 1.5G on ethernet is an interesting achievement, especially since they still only provide 6M DSL in many places.
