Doubt it but you need to contact your provider if they activate receivers from other cable companies. Shaw won't activate NWTEL receivers.

 

Doubtful. Most providers in Canada require that you use the boxes that they provide, and will refuse to activate a box branded by another provider. You should contact NWTel regarding their policy.

 

I went to the office and asked but did not get a definite answer.

I bought a refurb regular hd box last year and they were able to do it for me but I am not sure how it will go if I brought another one again. They are selling this box for $399.
