I've gotten a free Nest Mini from Google Store twice before and shipping was always free. One of those was a Google promotion itself and the other was the Spotify one last year. So you may be okay there.

Stand your ground

I always stand my ground when I call in the day before my subscription is about to expire. I listen to their offers and always say "no, I will only renew at the same price I had."

I get 6 months for $36 so with taxes and fees it amounts to $44.32

That's not too bad considering it now includes live streaming from the app which I use a lot plus having Sirius in my car.

You can now get that $36 plus a free Echo Dot. The plan for this bills monthly at about $6.00/month (inclusive of fees and taxes) with minor variation depending on your province.

DJs just started announcing SiriusXM is free until May 15. I've been listening for a few days. I originally got the 3 day free preview a few days ago. It timed out but then started working again the next day so it must be free in Canada as well.

I switched to the US plan. All you need is a US address, you can still use your Canadian credit card. I did it last year and am paying $6.06 US per month per radio, all in, for the all access plan. I just renewed and after usual threat to cancel got the same plan again this year. Works out to about $17 per month CAD for 2 radios.

I had an existing subscription [ SiriusXM Canada Pricing Discussions ] that expired back in March, and also got the "Echo Dot deal" when I renewed at that time.

Just renewed two weeks ago. I do find it frustrating that each renewal requires me to call in and go through the song and dance, "I'm considering cancelling" routine. Anyway they offered the same as in the previous 2 years, $99 for SiriusXM Select. With taxes/fees the total was $123.78.

The last time I called, they just cancelled the subscription without making any offers. Haven't subscribed since, not even for the new subscriber offers for which I now qualify.

I pretty much got the same deal. I called and asked if I could get the same deal as last year and she gave me $89.95 for a year. I accepted.

I think last year I was paying more.

Signed up last year for $60.00 for 1 year. expires on Oct 13. I called today to the cancellation number/extension number. Only said to the guy that I was about to expire on my 1 year and I want to renew for another year at the same $60.00 or to cancel. He verified my id, rate and expiry and said ok, no problem, he can give me another year at same rate for 1 year starting today. He prorated amount from today and with taxes he charged me $67.93 total. Easiest renewal ever.

I tried signing up at the link provided. It would not work because I didn't have any radio info. I called and got a big runaround. It went back and forth with various offers and terms but ended up with nothing in the end.

Renewal time again. Just got off the phone, got same price as last year, $60 a year for Sirius select, $79.23 taxes and royalties in.

Renewed today. Was offered $116 a year. Pointed out that the website has a CyberWeek promo going for $5 plus a echo dot, then said I can cancel and put it in my wifes name and we'd get $5 (+tax, etc) a month and an Echo Dot.. Was put on hold, the CSR came back, offered me $6.48 (all included) a month for 12 months with a free Google Home Nest Mini..
