Signal problems, fixed them now can't get channels (full signal on 91) - related to channels moving off 82W?

Hey everyone,

I'd consider myself pretty well versed with ExpressVu infrastructure. Over the last 20 years I've installed at least a dozen dishes, repointed, troubleshot, etc. but was hoping for y'alls help with some recent issues. Lots of background information below in point form, but the important part is the current state and looking for advise on how to get channels back/what I should do next:

-Parents were having issues with channels and not wanting to bother me, started calling Bell and unplugging receivers, rebooting, getting them to resend programming, etc. but nothing worked
-I came by and tried some of the same/ran checkswitch, couldn't get any of their receivers to detect the existing SW44. Tried to swap out power inserters, power supplies (tested fine) to no avail
-Finally got on the roof and tested the dish with a DPP Twin LNB, couldn't get any signal. Looking at the line of sight, determined it could be an issue with trees growing or getting bigger
-(Around a month ago) Decided to install a dish in a new orientation on their house (I had a spare dish). After testing a few locations, got great signal on 82 (85+) and 91 (95+) with the connected Twin LNB
-(This last week) Finally got around to trying to connect the dish to their existing internal wiring. Figured I would try the SW44 since power supplies seemed fine and didn't believe they had any issues
-Trying with multiple boxes and multiple cables, couldn't get any receiver to detect the SW44 - would always show "Reception Error!" in red in the status
-Decided to try the Twin LNB and after some issues, got it detected by one receiver/TV. I might have issues with other cables and have to redo some ends

So the way it sits now is my one receiver that detects the Twin LNB has great signal on 91 and doesn't detect 82 at all. In reading threads on this forum, seems this might be par for the course now with the channels being moved to 91 and 82 going offline? But at the moment I can't navigate to any channels and the guide is not really downloading. Should the guide and channels come in just fine with only getting signal on 91? Or are we still expecting some kind of signal out of 82 as well?

I've tried running checkswitch and it succeeds, albeit only with 91 detected but great signal. I've tried restarting, power cord pull, resending programming etc. but nothing has worked so far. I'm wondering if programming downloading overnight or giving more time for programming to sync will help but not hopeful for that.

The receiver I'm testing is a 6131, software V308. Receiver is added on their profile online, active and all is fine there. Some pictures of current state are attached, if anyone has any thoughts/suggestions/questions please let me know.

Hey, when you say SW44 are you meaning you say DPP44? As you cannot use a SW44 with Dish Pro Plus Twin LNB. It maybe helpful to also attach pictures of the LNB and Switch you are using to better help understand your setup.

As for why your not getting programming. I suspect that on the 6131 your testing with that actually has signal, it may have been offline too long and lost its authorization and needs to be re-authorized by bell to start working again. (The same is likely true for the rest of the receivers as well, once you figure out the switch/lnb issues)

Hey thanks for the reply. I didn't have the SW44 connected along with the Twin LNB, I know better than that! Was definitely testing them separately.

As for the programming issues, out of 4 receivers one of them is now working perfectly just seeing 91, no sign of 82. Bell did reauth it, but a connected hard drive was also causing issues. Once I disconnected that and rebooted, all was OK so I'm not sure if the reauth was necessary. The other 3 still have problems (these are all tested with a known good signal):

-One has channels greyed out and smart card auth problems (the receiver in the pictures above). They are sending me a new smart card by mail (box doesn't even have a smart card, but I guess I'll put it in and try...)
-One has "Reception Error!" in the status area of check switch, not sure if it's fixable might be a hardware problem, any ideas let me know
-One is completely dead

I'll post more here if I get any of the rest of them going, but guessing the last two are dead and I'll just have to find some replacements.
