Does anyone known if & when shaw will release a 4K PVR
Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this yet?Does anyone know when Shaw plans to rollout TSN 4K to the rest of us, east of Alberta???
Does anyone have any information about (their timeline) when SHAW plans to roll out TSN 4K to Saskatchewan and Manitoba?TSN 4K is available to Shaw customers in BC and Alberta only while Sportsnet 4K and Sportsnet 1 4K are available everywhere.
As long as Manitoba gets the CFL and some Jets games I'm happy for now...but I don't get why SHAW can't roll out all the TSN channels in 4K and blackout where necessary.TSN 4K finally added. Intersting for Sask, Manitoba, and Northern Ontario it is TSN 3 4K. For Ontario it is TSN 4 4K. I assume BC and Alberta is TSN 1 4K which would explain why it took some time for it to come.
Not sure if any of you have watched the 4K channels from Sportsnet or TSN, because if you had, you wouldn't be questioning why people want more 4K channels.4K programming is still very limited and some of it may not be even real 4K. Its foolish to subscribe to any 4k channels at this time, just buy a 4K tv and let it upscale to 4K, good enough.
The difference is pretty obvious...everything is much clearer...if you can't see it I feel bad for you...everyone I've had in can clearly see the difference while flipping back and forth from HD to 4K channels...even when it's not really showing a 4K program. You realize you have to sit 3.5 feet from a 55 inch set and 4 feet from a 65 inch set to see the difference from regular HD.
Well I'll choose to believe my eyes while enjoying whatever I'm watching.Well not according to Sony. Click on the 4k models.

I have the Stingray streaming service and very little of it is 4K. A lot of the concerts and TV shows significantly predate HD and are upscaled NTSC or captured from lower quality film. They are often good performances but the picture and sound are low quality.Rogers Ignite has two Stingray channels in 4K
