Samsung Galaxy S4 Email / Attachments Issues

Is anyone else having issues with email on the Galaxy S4. My phone is on the Telus Network / my email is from Aliant (POP Email).

I can receive email at all times, however I can't send emails when away from my home WIFI. Sending pictures / attachments also seems to be a problem from any source.

Some research shows that these have been typical problems in other countries, but I can't find examples of the issues in Canada.

I have tried numerous differnet settings on my outgoing mail server set-up, and a trip to my Telus store has not been able to help it.

Anyone having these issues or have fixes. Thanks

I believe the issue is with Bell Alliant.
I think you need to be on their network to send email from their servers. This explains why you are fine when at home on Wifi.

Update:

Well things are sort of fixed, a call to Telus had me change the outgoing mail settiings which fixed the ability to send mail when away from my home WIFI, however the settings don't work while on WIFI.

So if I'm home and I want to send an email I have to shut-off WIFI or go back and temporarily change the outgoing mail settings.

Not the solution I expected for this product, but atleast I know how to work around it and I shouldn't be caught if I really need mail while on mobile.

Interesting timing for this thread. I'm in the same issue, but different phone, HTC One. The smtp for my work email is smtp.Telus.net. That works fine when I'm out and about, to send emails. But I can't send when on my home (non Telus) WiFi network.
