Now getting black screen ,no picture just Audio on 2 tv sets and my Legacy Tablo.Not fixed ,they broke it totally.

Citytv working again (both video and audio) at the moment in Ottawa (2025-09-11 2152h). Thanks everyone for your comments/input. Interestingly, I believe the AVC tag is new since it's returned to service - the only "AVC" tag in my listing.

I wonder if Citytv is really using AVC/h.264, or that is just a glitch. Some really old TVs may not support it.

City Tv responded to my email saying they had encoder failure and using a temp. unit until full repair can be made.

I have an older generation Tablo TV which does not support h.264/AVC broadcasts. Not sure if CityTV is only doing AVC temporarily, but I’m unable to view the Toronto station.

Strange, how my TV was receiving the signal fine Yesterday morning, then last night just audio & black screen and now still the same. my Tablo still not finding the channel.

let's hope they go back to their old encoder and fix their issues.

4 out of 6 rescanned working on channel 65.1, the two LG tv's still only have audio, not sure why?

City Tv switched back to MPEG 2 no guide data.

confirm the switch back to mpeg2, and still no epg over the air.
However, when I tune 57.1 on the Samsung TV, it's apparently picking up epg info for CITY over the internet
somehow.

Next issue they have is that aside from no epg, they aren't broadcasting the time either.
That will hose up the time in TVs tuned to it, that depend on being told what time it is.

Sept 13 9:50AM My stupid “smart” TV does not have a numeric keypad on the remote control, but I was surprised to see CityTV at its old location, as shown on the TV set, as Channel 65.1 from Ottawa.

My legacy Tablo in Hamilton is now receiving City TV and I have a guide. I hope City got everything worked out.

^^^ yeah I hate those too. Kids don't know what numbers do on a remote. If there were a need for a number pad on a video game control, they certainly would.
