I was not sure if I should post this in tvs or provders?
I had heard that the rt-u63p-i5 remote control could be programed to control the on/off & volume functions on two different brands of tvs? I think I saw on a web site that if you want to be able to use the remote on a 2nd tv, you would program it as "audio" or something?
Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks. I did already download the .pdf manual, but the answer was not in it. Sorry if my qustions was not clear. I have one STB & one remote for it...I have two tvs connected to the one stb, 1 via Hdmi & the 2nd component. I am trying to use the 1 remote to control the on/off & volume on tw different brands of tvs..1 is a Samsung & the other is a Panasonic.

I had read somewhere that both set could be controled by the one remote..I just can't remember where I read it.

With both TV's connected to the same STB they will both be displaying the same channel. I am assuming the TV's are not in the same room and you want to wander from room 1 to room 2 with the same remote and control the volume and power of the TV's. Anyway, as I understand it, during the remote setup select TV and enter the code for the Samsung then repeat the procedure but instead of pressing TV again press one of the other device buttons such as audio. Enter the code for the Panasonic there. Some device buttons can accept codes from other devices, so if audio doesn't work try sat or aux or whatever until you find a button that will accept the Panasonic code. Then when you want to control the Panasonic press that device first then power or volume up/down. When you want to control the Samsung press TV then power or volume up/down.

Hey snorlax....Glad that you were able to understand my question! Yes, exactly that! I'll give it a try. I had spoken to tech support @ videotron, but I suspect the guy was "new" as he did not believe me when I told him that you CAN run 2 tvs off of 1 stb.
