I'm trying to decide which AVR to buy : Yamaha HTR5063 or Sony STRDN1010. The rest of my HT is Sony and the 1010 would sync well.However the 5063 looks like a great buy. Can the Yamaha remote be programmed to control my STB ?? I'm leaning towards the 5063 , and hoping the remote can control the the STB to keep my wife happy.She's not good using multiple remotes !
The 5063 is also $50 cheaper than the 1010.

I'm trying to look at the Yamaha manual,but I'm at work and the website is blocked.

Take the $50 you save with the Yamaha and invest in a Harmony remote. Best piece of gear in my HT setup hands down.
