I am not exactly sure how to set up my XM 100 (for Onyx) player so it can play on wireless speakers about 40 feet away.

Do I attach a wireless transmitter to the XM 100 and then set up wireless speakers in the other room? And if this is so, can anyone recommend a transmitter and speakers that might do the job?

Transmitters and wireless speakers are pretty standard technology and can range substantially in price.

My suggestion is go to your local A/V stores and audition some speakers and pick the ones that best meet your budget.
