My Pioneer AV receiver is "XM Ready" and has an input to be used with a XM mini tuner in a home docking station. My question is could a XM Connect & Play Digital Antenna Receiver be used instead of the mini tuner? It is a much neater solution because it is an all in one unit not much bigger than a conventional XM antenna and it is cheaper than the mini tuner/docking station combo.

You should check as to which ones are compatible.

I used to use a CMP-1000 with my Pioneer VSX-816, but when I upgraded to a VSX-9140, I had to upgrade my XM tuner to the CMP-2000 as the CMP-1000 doesn't work with the 9140.
