WIND Mobile customers in the Calgary area are now enjoying better network coverage, faster data speeds and improved call quality following the completion of a major network infrastructure upgrade.

“We are really pleased to have completed the second Western market in our continuing network upgrade journey. It is so exciting to hear customers tell us that they are experiencing a noticeable improvement in their service,” said Alek Krstajic, President and CEO, WIND Mobile.

With the Calgary and Vancouver area upgrades now complete, similar enhancements have started in Edmonton, as WIND works its way across the country with the goal of providing better service to all its customers.

WIND Mobile received new spectrum previously held by Mobilicity and Shaw Communications, which promised to at least double WIND's network capacity in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northern & Eastern Ontario.

WIND Mobile will continue to expand capacity and enhance its network, including bringing LTE service to the markets it serves across Canada.
