Hi folks,
Hopefully, this is being posted in the right section.

Anyways, I was hoping to get some direction as to which antenna to build as a VHF/UHF antenna. I've built a few stealth hawks with great results for my new TV, but I've also got an older television (not DTV capable).

So I was wondering if there are any go-to DIY antennas for VHF/UHF that are simple enough to built.

Thanks alot.

How about using a digital converter or DVR with the older TV?

Honestly, I thought of that, but I can't see the TV lasting much longer, and I was avoiding spending too much.

I believe I've read somewhere on these forums that two single loops would do; one for VHF and one for UHF. Could this be true?

What sort of gain were you hoping to achieve? Would the antennas be for a deep fringe situation? Or urban?!

For DIY, you won't do much better than a Stealth Hawk, M4 or Gray-Hoverman, as described here. VHF-lo generally isn't worth it for analog TV. If the TV is not receiving well, it's likely the TV, not the antenna. Analog is pretty much a write off, due to interference and ghosting, in urban areas anyway.
