I have a buddy who is looking to get a smartphone for his wife, they are with videotron, so will be getting the phone with this company. They plan to use the phone to be able to access their videotron emails, internet, et al

What do you guys recommend from the list of phones ( blackberry types and others ), and data size package

Who knows? The solution is predicated on the problem.

You really need to articulate the needs more thoroughly and have a good idea of how much data they will use before anyone could make a cogent recommendation. Any smartphone will allow you to browse the web and do email.

What phones have you narrowed your search down to and why. We can`t do your homework for you.

The reason cell phone companies have so many plans and phones is the needs of people vary so greatly.
