Juvenile Justice (소년 심판) (Netflix)

IMDb:
A prickly judge who despises juvenile criminals arrives at a juvenile court, where she takes on a complex role examining punishment for young offenders.
Only one, ten-episode season long (apparently plans for a second season were scuttled), this was a well-paced, interesting and enjoyable procedural drama in spite of lead actress Kim Hye-soo who – because of limited acting range or poor direction – created a character (the main protagonist Sim Eun-seok) who was either aloof, impassive and generally unlikeable or inexplicably and melodramatically emotional.

Promising Young Woman (Netflix)

Synopsis: Years after Nina was raped while drunk and subsequently committed suicide, Cassie - a med school drop-out - continues dutifully to lure and shame unscrupulous men as a way of getting justice for her friend. An unexpected but burgeoning relationship with Ryan, a former classmate of hers, seems to be just what Cassie needs in order to move on with her life...but there's one more thing she needs to do for Nina before she can finally let her go.

Comments: Thanks in no small part to a terrific performance by Carey Mulligan - and in spite of a few weak scenes that were distractingly slick and/or annoyingly cutesy - I enjoyed this interesting, quirky and occasionally dark drama quite a bit. (My wife enjoyed it even more thoroughly than I did.)

Diary of a Prosecutor (검사내전) (Netflix)

Wiki:
Based on the essay of the same name by prosecutor Kim Woong ... The stories of overworked prosecutors' daily lives in the fictional city of Jinyoung, South Korea.
We're 8 episodes into this 16-episode procedural. It's been really enjoyable so far, thanks to a good cast with great chemistry and some (overall) good writing that strikes a nice balance between serious topics/issues and lighthearted moments. :)

Fall (Netflix) (n)

Synopsis: Two astoundingly careless young women breeze their way up a two-thousand-foot-tall, decommissioned communications tower in the desert only to find themselves stranded at the top and fighting for survival.

Comments: Loved the gut-wrenching, acrophobic rush. o_O Didn't care for the generic story, the bland characters, the weak dialogue or the absurd and distracting lack of realism.

Hunt (헌트) (Netflix) (n)

Synopsis: Immerse yourself in the espionage and political intrigue of early 1980s South Korea.

Comments: Reminiscent of a bad 1970s American action-drama, the first half hour consisted of weak dialogue, choppy editing and numerous foot chases, car chases and gun battles. Dunno what happened after that because we tapped out.
