I'm hoping to buy a webcam for my parents for Christmas so we can use Skype when the talk to our kiddos. I did a search but didn't find much about webcam models. My parents have a desktop and laptop. They use sympatico for internet. I have a very old desk top with windows xp. We'd each need a webcam. I've never used skype before so I'll need to figure that out to teach my folks. The webcam needs to be pretty idiot proof for them to be able to set it up themselves and use it.... and the same for me really. I've heard there are some that just hook into a usb port like my camera does ... are they all like this? Which model is best? Not too worried about cost (less than $150 each would be nice)

Logitech QuickCam Orbit AF is what I use. I bought one for my folks as well.

Try Amazon for a video review and a cheaper price.

We use the Orbit and the Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 cameras at work, we have dozens of them. Both are very good, no problems.
