The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is marking its 70th anniversary in 2009 by offering up a number of exciting new offerings. Earlier this year, the government agency introduced a new online screening room which provides free viewing of NFB productions, films, trailers and clips.
This month the board release a new iphone app that allows free viewing of over 500 NFB documentaries, animated films and trailers.
The 300K app lets you search and watch thousands of movies on your iPhone or iPod touch and allows you to preload films for up to 24 hours of off-line viewing.
The app also categorizes films by category and genre (Classics, kids, cartoons, etc) to make it easier to find content to watch.
