Vizio announced today that it will be officially setting up shop in Canada in partnership with Future Shop and Best Buy.

Speaking at a press event today in Toronto, Lily Knowles, Vizio’s vice president of product marketing, said the company has been pondering a Canadian launch for “quite a while”. After releasing a few Vizio products to the Canadian market as pilot tests, they decided that this was “the right time in the marketplace to partner with Future Shop and Best Buy and bring the full product line to Canada.”

The company, which is currently the #1 Smart TV and sound bar provider in the U.S., will offer its E-Series and M-Series televisions, plus sound bars and sound stands to Canadian consumers both in stores and online.

Vizio is well known in the U.S. for delivering high quality products at more affordable prices than competitors like Samsung and LG. While pricing for the Canadian market has yet to be officially released, Jason Abrams, director of television merchandising at Best Buy, says we shouldn’t be worried: “the Visio value proposition will come into play in Canada.”

Future Shop and Best Buy have over 200 stores across Canada. Vizio’s line of products will be available starting September 12th.
