I am soon changing from a pre-paid to a monthly plan with VM....has anyone had any issues or problems? I do not plan on buying a new handset and was told there may be a $35 fee for the switchover ? Can I change the phone # without a charge say 3 months from now ?

My daughter had a monthly $20 pre-paid plan with VM before Bell took
over VM.

I had to dump them because whenever the remaining balance drops to
about $2 -$3, they would reload $20 from my credit card but the remaining balance is not carried forward to the next month and just disappers.

Monthly renewal date was 6th of every month and on few occassions, they took $20 in the morning of 6th and $20 again later in the day and when I called customer service, I was told it is a computer mistake and accounting department will credit the amount. Never heard from their non-existent
accounting department, Never!

Later cancelled the credit card and used pre-paid vouchers from BB till
Windmobile came along.
