Hi, I bought a universal remote because the telus TV remote was having problems detecting my devices.
The Universal remote I bought is an advanced one made by philips at a reasonable price.

However the Telus STB is not in the remotes database and the remote has learning capabilities. However, the remote does learn the Telus Remote buttons but cannot perform the action. The Green light on the STB does not even blink, even though the remote has learned the code.
I read somewhere on this forum that you have to cover the sensor once and then do it again. I sort of do not understand that, nor how IR senors work?
Any help would be appreciated as to what I should do. I have configured all my other devices with this remote, and I really want to use this remote to control the Telus Box.
