I have the new dcx3400 and the pace tdc776 pvrs coming off one splitter into two tvs for nfl st. The dcx 3400 has no problems whatsoever but the pace box seems to be lagging when switching through channels, it takes the guide at least 3-4 seconds to come up after I pressed it and the hd zoom button doesn't work properly.

i have called shaw to reset the box and the problems still occur Is the splitter causing the problems? Should I buy a more expensive one?

any help would be appreciated.

I am thinking of calling a shaw tech to look at the problem because I really want another dcx3400 instead of this horrible pace pvr

did you remove the splitter and connect to the cable to the Pace and see if it does it?

sounds like a power issue, if the guide is lagging bypass any powerbars and plug directly to the wall.

It is plugged straight into the wall. I have not tired the cable straight yet.

It sounds like a possible splitter problem. If the one you are using wasn't supplied by Shaw, go to one of their offices and pick one up. You can also try having Shaw do a reset on the Pace. Have you checked the signal levels on the dashboard?
