Rogers has added the high definition version of TVO to its digital basic package in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

In the coming weeks, TVOHD channel 580 will also be added to the basic digital cable package in the rest of Ontario.

In addition, the cable giant has announced that beginning Saturday, August 21, select TVO and TVOKids programs will be available on Rogers On Demand.

Subscribers will have free access to a selection of TVO content including current affairs programs and educational programs such as Gisèle's Big Backyard and The Space. TVO documentaries will also be available for a rental fee of $1.99 per movie.

My folks are watching TVO-HD on Rogers 580 in Ottawa. So it's on there, too!

TVOOD (on ROD channel) seems to be pretty modest right now. Only a couple documentaries (and Design e2) that cost $. Most of the other stuff is free. Glad to see a library of "The Agenda." I won't ever be a "The Agenda" regular, but I often enjoy their podcasts once someone's told me they have a good topic/panel on.
