Just saw this on Eastlink's (nicely redesigned) website under "what's new":

"Turner Classic Movies is now available. FREE preview on channel 198 from now until October 31."

TCM's a nice channel.

I'm guessing that a new movies package is on the way. It would likely include TCM, AMC, W Movies, and one or two others to be named later. Those three are bunched together at 195, 198, and 199. I assume something will land at 196 and 197. Perhaps one of them will be Silver Screen Classics? Another possibility would be to move Movietime from the old Lonestar slot.

Our areas Eastlink cable has had Silver Screen Classics available for quite a while. AMC became available fairly recently and is in free mode. but TMC isn't available. The 195-199 positions full.

TCM and AMC require heavy penetration - they won't show up in some new movie package, as it wouldn't have the required penetration.
