My apologize if this has been covered already, but as everyone knows, not ALL XBOX 360 are displayed at a native 1080p resolution. My question is, does anyone know of a list that will show which games are?

For instance, Call Of Duty 4 is displayed at a weird resolution of 540p or something, then upscaled to whatever resolution you play it at. Halo 3 is around 680p, etc.

I just got the Samsung LNT4661 and want to check out some 1080p gaming goodness!

Off the top of my head, I don't believe there are any 1080p 360 games available yet... I'm pretty sure none of the next gen consoles have a true 1080p game out yet.

Ya, AFAIK, no real 1080p rendered games on the 360 or PS3 at the moment, although I have heard that UTIII on the PS3 is 1080p, but not sure aboutt the accuracy of that comment.

'Virtua Tennis 3' and 'NBA Street Home Court' for the Xbox 360 are the only two NATIVE 1080p games- they are NOT upscaled. That's all of them for now.

Pulled from another forum, console games (Xbox 360 and PS3) and their NATIVE (not upscaled) resolution:

I am assuming you have one of the new 360 Elites with the HDMI out? I would think most 360 games would not be 1080P because most of the 360's out there can't do it.

The 360 can do 1080p for games via any of it's connections, be it VGA, component or HDMI. It just depends if the TV does 1080p via component, but most seem to be doing it via component these days anyway.

Right you are, I see now that was fixed a year ago. Oops!

Blast from the past BTW: Quoted from:

Exclusive: MS on 1080p, BluRay, Expansion

Director of Microsoft's Game Technology Group speaks to Kikizo on future direction for the Xbox 360 and more.

As Microsoft this week announces its latest development initiatives at GDC, we caught up with the company's Director of the Game Technology Group (formerly ATG), Scott Henson. You can watch the full 20-minute video interview feature here, but here are the highlights:

A down-to-earth Xbox exec who knows Xbox 360's finer technical points and the overall strategy as well as anyone, Henson shared with us details on system upgradeability, and where things are headed in the 'HD era' of gaming.

You may remember our recent PS3 feature in which the reality of 'Full HD' 1080p games for the console was thrown into some doubt. Scott openly offered his opinion, stating: "I think 1080p, just to address that directly, will be basically impossible. I think if you talk to any developer they will tell you that they will not have a performing game at 1080p."
