I have a Toshiba Cinema Series HD Rear Projection TV. Made in 2004, Model # 30HFX84. Everything works fine on it except the HDMI ports. There are 2 in the back and nothing works in them. I have tried a laptop, PS3, and Xbox 360. The cable I am using (Rocketfish 12 foot) has been tested on other tvs and works fine.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

I`m guessing its an HDCP problem.

Here's the FAQ on HDMI Issues and things to check - perhaps plug/unplug the cable a few times to ensure a good electrical connection - something unused and 6 years old may require a bit of cleaning, prompting. If this doesn't work, then I would also guess a firmware/HDCP problem in this very early HDMI TV, although HDMI usually works, unlike DVI. If it were an HDCP issue, you'd probably get a message on-screen, rather than "dead air".

If you have another (shorter) cable, give it a try. The fact the cable works on one TV is not a guarantee that it'll work on this one, as a stronger signal may be required...
