Why does CBC not offer this game in HD. They are broadcasting Toronto vs Vancouver on 2 HD channels.

Couldn't they have put the Ottawa game in one of them.

Its hard to watch games in SD. Feels like i'm a game from 10 years ago.

Actually,

CBC usually shows 3 HD games every Saturday.

Most of the time they show Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver (late game) on channels 1030, 1050 and 1150.

Tonight would be the exception because Vancouver and Toronto are playing each other, so CBC has chosen to show the Calgary game in HD.

Seems Sens fans are out of luck with the CBC and have to watch their game in SD on 208.

Since RDS has the rights to all the Montreal games (in SD & HD), it would almost be better for hockey fans (as long as you don't mind watching the habs in french) if CBC dropped the habs and started showing the Sens in HD.

For me it wasn't the fact the game wasn't in HD, it was that the picture quality was just awful, even for SD. To me, it looked like I had recorded the game with a VCR and was playing it back!

Was OTA any better?

Thread closed. Not a BTV issue. As mentioned, this has been discussed several thousand times before in the appropriate CBC HNIC threads.
