I'm looking forward to seeing this. John le Carré worked on the adaptation for the movie. Somehow Gary Oldman seems like a peculiar choice for George Smiley although he's a talented actor. Colin Firth will probably play Bill Haydon. He's a good choice for that role.

It will have to be done really well to attract my eyeballs; after seeing the TV version six or so times, there probably will be no surprises and I am a big fan of Guiness's fine work in that series.
