Thoughts on PSN +

Anybody here tried the new PSN+ premium tier? I bought a year's subscription, but to be quite honest, I don't think I'll be renewing it next summer.

To be fair, I'm out of the country 80% of the time, and I don't spend nearly the time in front of my PS3 that I used to, but I really can't see the value add, even for a modest $4 per month.

So what is the appeal? Exclusive demos? Free games?
Ya, I signed up too when it launched, but I see no use for it either, so I won't be renewing it either...
I always thought that there are many things they could add to PSN and charge a premium for and make it worthwhile, but none of them are in PSN+.

It will be interesting to see what their renewal rate is, though I doubt they'll tell us.
I think if you are a MASSIVE gamer this would work out for you with the discounts, free qore and whatever else. If you are like me and game maybe 10-20 hours a week and don't buy a lot of add-ons and psn games then it is not really worth it. The free online gaming is all I really care about.
I figure my first year is already paid for with Qore, and Wipeout HD. I keep hoping Sony will add the syncing of saves, as that would completely justify the purchase of PSN+ for me in subsequent years.
