That article applies to the US. Things look worse for OTA in Canada every year. Changes to broadcast patterns caused by channel reallocation and the switch to ATSC 3.0 in the US are making US stations more difficult to receive in Canada. The main things going on with OTA in Canada are station shutdowns and poor station maintenance.
