I want to know when programs and movies will start being made in 16k. Will they have 16 channel sound? What about 16k 3D? ;)

But seriously, I suspect 16k will be a niche product for commercial use for some time. I don't want to know the cost. It's one of those, 'If you need to ask, you cant afford it' products.
Actually, I don't think it's 16K. Few days ago I watched a video of a tech guy where he mentioned the best TV ever made is slightly better than 8k however they themselves claimed the TV is 16K which is not.
My next tv purchase will most likely be a 98” but even at that it will be 4K and probably the TCL QM8 depending upon reviews of the large size.

How do you know that it is not? The story has been reported from a number of internet electronic news sources. The company is BOE, Chinese and a major player in the TV screen business. The model is not for sale so its likely a prototype but the technical specs BOE gave out at the demo. at an LA TV screen show make the screen a bona-fide 16K device. I'm wondering if that tech guy you saw was simply not up to date?
