Good news for you folks on Fibre. Telus is offering Internet 150/150 for $80/mth. Thats synchronous 150 Downstream and 150 Upstream. I wish I got fibre
The actual data rates tend to be the usual 10-15% higher, but I'm still having trouble finding a time anyone not running a webcam studio or very serious about streaming their gaming could need this. Still, very sweet, impressive numbers, and all that. Just remember any speed test on wireless needs to be on the 5GHz (ac) band to even have a chance at these speeds - b/g/n 2.4 GHz will top out under 50 meg typically (By standard, although I'm sure there are some tricks to get past it a bit).
The old switch I'm running on my Ethernet network in my home would die if I tried to run these speeds through it!
Just signed to 150/150 in an older neighbourhood in Edmonton, and consistently getting speeds of 180/180. Very happy.
