Teletoon Retro asleep at the wheel by missing Flintstones' 50th Anniversary!

Isn't Teletoon Retro available on digital basic on most systems? When you have 100% penetration there isn't a lot to be gained by marketing, except perhaps some additional eyeballs on your station for a time.

That would require to actually put some work into the channel which we know most canadian broadcasters have no interest in doing.

I think it the ultimate proof that the absence of real competion is rotting the system!

In all fairness, although a Flintstones marathon would have been nice, from Teletoon to TMN Astral programmed stations seem to do the best job of all the media co's for trying to make good TV IMO.

I've read before, for example, almost all of Astral's french channels have been in HD for years.

Maybe they should have shown these commercials during the breaks today....

On Sept. 30, 1960, Hanna-Barbera's THE FLINTSTONES premiered in the U.S. at 8:30 pm (ET) on ABC. The show immediately assumed historic status as the first animated sitcom on television, the first animated series to go beyond the seven-minute cartoon format and the first to feature human characters to be shown on primetime. I'm of two minds on this, who watches Teletoon retro? Children and nostalgic fans of old cartoons. My 3 year old nephew wouldn't give a crap about the 50th anniversary of the Flintstones, at least not enough to watch it all day, and anyone old enough knows already.
