Sales of in-vehicle consumer electronics will grow at an estimated rate of 13 percent to $12.2 billion in 2008 according to a new study by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
Researchers found that enthusiasts typically choose portable devices for use inside their automobile. When asked, 98% said they owned at least one CE device not permanently installed in the vehicle while 89% said they used their portable CE devices in their car.
