Target's new Canadian stores will be featuring the latest in wireless products and services under the brand Target Mobile thanks to a recent deal with Vancouver-based Glentel.

Glentel (TSX:GLN), Canada's largest independent multi-carrier mobile phone retailer, will offer a choice of network carriers and an array of wireless devices to customers.

"We are proud to be selected by Target as the exclusive operator of its mobile communications products and services display fixtures at the majority of store locations across Canada," said Tom Skidmore, president and CEO, Glentel.

Target plans to open 124 stores across the country starting in March/April 2013. Additional store locations will be confirmed later this year.

Minneapolis-based Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) operates 1,772 stores across the US. Glentel runs more than 540 corporate stores with more than 330 locations spread across Canada in retail malls, Costco Wholesale stores, and business centres.

At its 210 retail locations in the US, Glentel offers a lineup of mobile products and services from Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ).
