Hey... I am starting to think of switching from BES to FibeTV. Unfortunately when they launched FibeTV, the BES subscribers didn't get access to the additional HD channels. So now I am considering my options.

a) Stay on BES for ~$90/mth until Dec.
b) Upgrade and pay between ~$135/mth (Fibe 6) to ~$157 (Fibe 25)
($102 FibeTV Elite plus Fibe 6 $32 to Fibe 25 @ $53)

So, why the post? Has anyone downtown switched and what Internet speed did you get? Have read all the posts re: Fibe 6 for new subscribers. I am assuming that is what I will get, but wondering if any BES subscribers have upgraded and what speed did you get.

Thanks for the help,

Kenuck, if you look at the link in post 8 of this thread, you'll see that new installations get the full download speed, even though they only pay for Fibe 6. It seems the internet speed you have won't change. Bell could change that in the future of course.

Got mine installed yesterday.
15-18 download 2-3.5 up. This is with 2 SD 1 HD and 6 PCs on
TV is much better then Cable the price even after my 1st year will still be 86 bucks a month over rogers.

I will not say change if you can get it, just yet will let you know after the first month.
