Is the streaming service Starz planning to go as a stand alone service the way MGM+ did a few months ago? Now you can only get it with Crave, A. Prime or with Apple+TV.

Nope, you're wrong. Its already available on Prime in Canada as a standalone service.

Is it dependent on a Prime subscription? My understanding is that a Prime subscription is required to subscribe to any of the Prime Channels. I may be mistaken about that though. In the US, MGM+ can be subscribed to directly from the MGM+ web site. When I looked at subscribing, the page said it's only available in the US.

You have to have Prime to get it as an add-on service. Prime also has MGM+ too.

I believe you can get it as a standalone service if you have an AppleTV. A subscription to AppleTV+ is not required. Appears to be Cdn $5.99 per month (7 day free trial). aMC+ is Cdn $8.99 per month (1 month free trial).
