I have cut off fence post on my roof that has to be 25 years old. No visible rust. Fence post is the best and most cost effective way to install an antenna.

Good thing about fence posts/rails is that you can go to any hardware store and put them in your vehicle, off you go - for very little money.

Good luck finding swagged end antenna masts in Canada... might be a couple mail order companies and then they charge shipping. Our retailers and even Amazon isn't like the availability in the USA.

Why do you think you see so many defunct satellite dish mounts with TV antennas on them... the mount was free and already installed.
