The smartphone popularized by James Bond in Skyfall will launch in Canada in a few weeks.

Sony Mobile Communications said the Xperia T, or Bond phone, which combines Sony's best in mobile camera technology, HD viewing and NFC Connectivity, will be available from Bell, Mobilicity, MTS, Rogers and Videotron sometime in November.

Sony's VP of North American Marketing, Peter Farmer said: "Entertainment is in our DNA and the Xperia T is the latest example. Offering stylish design, easy connectivity and access to premium entertainment anywhere, anytime, the Bond phone will soon be available to Canadians."

Since it is marketed as the official Bond phone, the new Xperia T will come preloaded with exclusive 007 content including behind the scenes footage, interviews, clips, wallpapers and ring tones.

Smartphone enthusiasts will be impressed by the Xperia T's 13-megapixel camera with high definition capability and a quick launch feature that goes from sleep to snap in just over 1 second.

If taking content from your smartphone to your TV screen is appealing, the Xperia T connects through MHL or wirelessly through DLNA so you can experience HD content on any screen, at any time.

Since the Xperia T supports 'One-touch' connectivity through NFC, users can easily enjoy music and photos across an array of NFC-enabled devices by simply touching one to another.

Not to be overlooked is the sign-up offer for a free 50GB of file storage from online backup provider, Box.
