Sony today introduced updated models of its Dash Alarm clock radio, the Sony HID-B70 and HID-B7.
Features of both models include a 7-inch colour touch screen (800 x 480 resolution) and a WiFi enabled internet clock radio which can also run over 1,000 free tiny Internet widgets including news, calendars, weather, and sports.
The Dash can also access audio (MP3 up to 320 Kbits/sec) or photo content (.jpg) stored on mass storage USB devices by connecting to the USB port.
Users can also easily play back Internet radio content from Pandora and SHOUTcast, via the built-in speaker or the headphone/audio output.
The HID-B7 is available in basic black only and will sell for $130 U.S. The HID-B70 model, which will sell for $170, adds a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for easy room-to-room transport and comes in a choice of colors including brown, slate blue and orange.
Both units are set to arrive in stores in October.
