We have seen the HD remakes of GoW I and II and it has sold 1.31 million copies. I'd say that's a recipe for success.

Upcoming is the Team Ico HD remakes of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. I personally am very much looking forward to this release.

Sly cooper is also on the horizon and I'm sure many more. Would you like to see some of the classics with a fresh coat of paint, trophy support and maybe even integrating Move and/or 3D support?

Sony has allot of IP's and they can really leverage this if all their Classics line is of the GoW quality. I can't wait to play some of the best PS2 games in glorious HD!

I might be interested since prior to my PS3, my previous system was a Sega Genesis -- so I missed all the PS1 and PS2 games completely.

The Team Ico pack will be an instant buy for me. I worry that my warm fuzzy memories of Ico won't match the reality when I play it again, but SoC will be way better with improved graphics/framerate.

I think you mean rumored to be upcoming. Unless I missed an announcement, Sony hasn't said it's coming, and nothing has been leaked.

With that said, I've always wanted to play ICO and SotC, so I'll definitely pick it up if/when it comes out. I think it's a brilliant way for Sony to resell some games with little cost (compared to the original game).

Also a smart way to not enrage PS3 buyers who don't have PS2 backwards compatibility! Er, as opposed to just selling PS2 games on the PSN store.

If Sony sells these packs at the price of the GoW collection -- $29.99 -- I will definitely pick up a few. I skipped the PS2 for the Xbox and wouldn't mind playing some classics like Shadow of the Colossus.

At $29.99, it's hard for people to complain as to pick up these old games usually costs around $10 each. A few bucks more for trophies and some slight upgrades...no problem.

Just as long as we don't start seeing Army Men packs.
