to buy or not to buy, that is the question...

I was thinking about getting the PSP for someones birthday, but it has a hefty price tag and was wondering what the lowest price someone has seen and where. Also, does it act like a standard mp3 player where you can just plug it in with a usb and drag and drop? Finally, do you think it is worth it, or the dough could be spent elsewhere for something better? (P.S. one thing I do not get are the graphics...are they similar to ps2, ps1 or nintendo-ds. I just want to get a relative idea) Thanks in advance

Graphics are supposed to be as good or a little better than a ps2, it is a 333hmz same as a ps2 try this link also it is usb or Memory Stick PRO Duo. They also have 6 movies coming out for this lil bad boy here the link I currently have an xbox and a gamecube, I personally will not be getting a handheld but I will be getting the next generation of home consoles like the xenon ( Xbox2 released at the end of this year) or a ps3 ( released early 2006 ?)
