any input on this TV, good, bad or otherwise? Looking for a good solid TV, for our family room (main floor). Don't do any gaming, mostly 80% cable, 20% DVD's. Any issues on problems or reliability?

I am also looking at the KDL55EX500 as well, for the basement.

I have been looking into a new tv for the past few weeks it will take me a couple more before I make a final decision. I do lots of gaming pretty much only watch Bluray and HD sattelite and the 46" EX500 is in my top 3 as far as price to quality goes. For what it seems you are looking to do this TV would be more than sufficient. I also currently have a Sony KDL40v4100 which I purchased new a couple years ago and dont have a single complaint so as most would assume you dont need to worry about sony quality.

I went LCD. But my friend went LED because TV is lighter and uses slightly less electricity.

57, that 5 reason why link is dead [2007]. I did try it a few times already.
Thks

I now talked to 3 repair shops of which 2 do warranty work for Panny, LG, Samsung. Led is rated over LCD with all 3, no matter the LED type. Plasma is given the ok from the 2 warranty shops. The 3rd shop that does out of warranty work said plasma is crap. So I would guess he is working on 3,4 years and older models?

so I got this tv late last week - just hooked it up today and wow, gotta say I am impressed. great picture. I'm not one to spend hours mussing and fussing over a TV - they all look good to me ;-).
