The new and unique Sony 65-inch curved LED TV will be available this October.

The new model, KDL-65S990A, will sell for $4,499.99 and features a TRILUMINOS Display colour system for accurate, deep, vibrant colours plus a powerful 4-channel Multi-angle Live Speaker configuration for the real home theatre feel.

To create superior surround sound, Sony includes a total of eight front facing speakers (six front and two surround) angled in multiple directions.

"Sony has a storied history of innovation, particularly in the television category," said Daniel Phillips, Director, TV and Home Video Marketing at Sony Canada. "The gentle curve of this television borrows from the screen technology found in movie theaters, and provides an immersive experience that makes viewers feel as if they are truly part of the action and in the moment of the scene they are watching."

Viewers eager for a new experience will enjoy the edge-to-edge curved construction, which is engineered to provide a greater sense of the picture's depth of feel, and allows for a wider viewing angle.

Sony is also adding a new 65-inch high definition model, KDL-65W850A, to its WiFi-enabled W series of LED BRAVIA televisions in October for $2,999.99.

As you may know, the W series, which includes the KDL-W802A and KDL-W900A models, each incorporate NFC technology, TRILUMINOS Display, X-Reality PRO picture engine and 3D capability.
