My cousin had a Sony Anywhere Tv set up a few years back....( he has the best of the best stuff) He let me use while i was painting his house to watch the hockey game ( playoffs) so i didnt miss anything. I thought it was the coolest concept ever, but he says now , they stopped making them.
Question: Can you buy this thing or something similar anymore? I have been googling it, with not too much luck. :(

Slingbox is a good idea or try googling video extender or wireless video for other options.

Im not sure the exact name of it, it was Sony and i was carrying around this 14 inch tv screen. I think it even had a handle and was white. It was all touch screen and i could even change the channels of the satellite or go on the internet by touching the screen. It had to have been atleast 6 years ago when i saw it.

I just emailed him the link provided to see if that's it. The reviews weren't that great. What would be the other options? And whats the average start-up price to get going. I have express vu satellite i want to hook into. I guess the kicker is , you have to have wifi as well as get the password to the wifi wherever you are, correct?

well yeah

you can spend from 50 bucks, up to a couple hundred depending on what you need

locationfree player can be accessed from a PSP, and it's a pretty nice experience that way (or any pc running the included software)

or you can buy one of the units that comes with a screen itself, but expect to pay more for that

Not much change in the last 9 months, Slingbox still the best option.
