I used to have Bell Aliant DSL internet like way back in 2009. I was just wondering a few things about how IP addresses were assigned

How long were IP leases for DSL internet for Bell Aliant? When the lease was up did you nornally retain the same IP address?

Would unplugging your router change your IP address? Would moving your physical address a couple km away change the IP address end of you used the same modem and router? Or would Bell Aliant recognize a modem and just give the first one right back?

Simple answer is - maybe.

I have never seen my public IP address change while my router was on and connected. If I restarted it, or had a power outage, I would get a new IP when it restarted.

Generally speaking, if the router is shut off you can expect your IP to change when it comes back up. Aside from that, it can change, but in my experience very rarely does.
