Thanks Hugh
I have a dual LNB dish, 9200 pvr and a SW44 switch hooked to an HD tv.
Had a Dishnet tech guy do the hookup originally to 2 SW21 switches with success altho due to elevation here am only able to pick up the 91 sat.
Today I hooked up the 44 and the inserter inline of the #1 at the switch in the hopes of getting HD programming from BEV but so far no success. Am still able to receive the original programming but nothing in the 800 HD channel lineup.
Any help would be appreciated.

With the new Nimiq 4 Satellite @ 82W the footprint does not include the southern US. You will not be able to see 82W if you are in Florida or Arizona. Bell angled the footprint to cover Canada much better which leaves the Southern US out of the foorptint but helps out Northen Canada greatly. If you need Canadian HD channels your only other options is a Slingbox or Star Choice.

Lost Channels

It now seems as tho I have lost sat aquistion altho I have not moved the dish.
I have unplugged the reciever several times and did a check switch also several times but get a message saying "it now seems that you have fewer channels than previously detected. Selecting Save will result in a loss of channels Press cancel to keep the original setting Select Save if you are sure that this is new setting is correct for your installation or you have added /removed equipment.
What to do?
Should I pull the card this time and unplug again?
Geez this is getting frustrating.

I'm confused - if you've never been able to pick up the 82 Sat, you've never had HD, since (as QCK says), all HD content is on 82.

If you once had signal from 82 and have now lost it, it is probably because you are now out of Nimiq 4's footprint, as per QCK's other post. There have been a few posts from snowbirds over the last few months indicating that with VERY accurate pointing, it is still possible to get some signal off of Nimiq 4, but you're chances drop with each mile south. Getting a larger dish might help.

From what I know Nashville will get 82W ok with a 80cm dish. 150km South in Northen Alabama the signal is in the 40's with an 80cm dish, which is not strong enough to have a good consistant signal. The Northen part of Florida is a little more than 500 km further South. There is no way will you be able to get 82W in any part of Florida.
