The Elite's with that ICEPower...great sound IMO.

I usually try and stay within the 1000 to 1300 price point when it comes to receivers but I am sorely tempted to spring for a SC-35 or 37. My Onkyo has put in yeoman service and is currently playing well with my new Oppo BD player via the analog multi channels.

I am usually a practical type but these Pioneer Elite's LOOK terrific and sound great to boot. I guess I am not as immune to eye candy as I thought..lol

There are so many choices out there for HT receivers..Onkyo, Pioneer Elite, Marantz, Denon, HC, etc. When the money finally burns through my pockets I'll have to decide on a new receiver but till then, I appreciate this forums ability to keep us up on what's happening out there.

exchange rate?

I was wondering why they were so expensive till I remembered I was in Canada... The cheaper model has a 45% markup between USA and Canadian prices?! It's 800$ vs 550$.

Is the US model the same? (Can I buy one down south?)
