Only time it's worth listening to is when it's free. The reception is absolute garbage on Vancouver Island. No trees around and constant signal fade. I cancelled after 6 months. They never even tried to give me a deal when i asked or i would cancel it.

They even admitted receptions sucks here but nothing they can do. They can sure charge full price though.

Are the reception problems on Vancouver Island with Sirius or XM radios...or both?

How do you have it set up?

I have no problems in the car, a friend has no problems in the car (other than the occasional tall building or tree, but for the most part no problems...) and my parents have no problem with it in their home.

So it's just started? My wife got a phone call saying it was about to end (we never knew it started) and asking if we wanted to subscribe....

Hi DSSPredator, I'm sorry to be asking this but what's a promo code good for (let's say the yearly promo code)?

My yearly US sub is coming to an end and I'm thinking that maybe (with the exchange being what it is) that I should switch over to the Canadian offering.

3 Months = $14.28 + tax

It's a good deal, but I've been renewing my US sub for <$30 for 5 months for years now. I just have to remember to call a day before auto-renewal and ask for it.

Turned on my unactivated radio last night, and noticed it was updating the channels. Fast forward to today, came across a notice on sirius xm's web site indicating free preview from August 26th – September 8th. Anybody with a really old radio have the free channels working? I have a Streamer GT that used to be fine years ago. Now it doesn't seem to be working with the free trial. Antenna connected, got signal , but says 'call to subscribe'. Tried factory reset too with no effect.

My skify2 is only a few months newer than yours and it's working with this free trial. Call them and tell them you want the free trial.

I actually got an email notice and a notice in the mail. They also included promo codes to subscribe with no activation fees for either 3 or 12 months at severely reduced rates (but I'll post those in the "what I got thread")
